Christina Warren Recognized as Elementary New Teacher of the Month at HISD

As a new teacher of the month at Hempstead ISD, she received a #risktaker t-shirt donated by MaBisha Stubblefield (Bisha’s Bling), a $50 Mary Kay gift certificate donated by Jackie Craver and a certificate to display in her room.

“Mrs. Warren works extremely hard with our 4th grade Bilingual and ESL students,” said Elementary Math & Reading Coach Vera Cleveland. “Whenever a stumbling block occurs, she does not hesitate to ask questions.” Cleveland said, “Mrs. Warren is a team player and enjoys working with her team. She is a joy to work with.”

Christina Warren is a new teacher at Hempstead Elementary who currently teaches 4th Grade ESL Math & Science. “Ms. Warren is so delightful,” said Melissa Skinner, HISD Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction. “She is always willing to come to professional development, serve on focus groups, and implement new ideas,” said Skinner. “She is a breath of fresh air and we are thrilled that Ms. Warren joined our HISD team!”

Warren attended Sam Houston State University and had five years of experience as a paraprofessional at CISD prior to coming to the district. Warren said, “I feel so privileged to be honored as New Teacher of the Month and have enjoyed my experience teaching at Hempstead Elementary!” Warren said her passion was teaching math/science. “I adore all my students,” she said.

Warren also stated that she was thankful for her amazing Instructional Coaches who always answer her questions.
