Free Lunch & Breakfast at HISD
ALL students at Pre-K, elementary, middle school and high school will be offered free breakfast and lunch.

    National School Lunch Program
Hempstead ISD participates in the School Breakfast Program and National School Lunch Program and offers students nutritionally balanced meals daily.  Free and reduced-price meals are available based on financial need.  Forms are available on the website for download or may be obtained in the school offices.  The district follows the federal and state guidelines regarding foods of minimum nutritional value being served or sold on school premises during the school day.

The district has  partnered with Southwest Foodservice Excellence to provide cafeteria/food services.  Both cafeterias will follow a no change process during the collection of money towards an account.  Parents can add money to a student's lunch account online by using Lunch Money Now.

The School Lunch Program is operated in accordance with U.S. Department of Agriculture policy which does not permit discrimination because of race, color, sex, age, handicap, or national origin. Any person who believes that he or she has been discriminated against in any U.S.D.A. activity should write to the Secretary of Agriculture, Washington, D.C. 20250
