This is the image for the news article titled Hempstead Crowns 2017 Homecoming King & Queen    Delarrin Turner-Yell and Tunjuinae Mayes were crowned the 2017 Homecoming King and Queen for Hempstead High School during a pre-game ceremony Friday night, September 29.
    Other homecoming candidates nominated by the seniors to represent the Class of 2017 included: Jasmine Orozco, Nayeli Reyes, Verania Trujillo, Ahmad Banks, Michael Payten, and Khamron Thomas.
    Nayel Novelo and Leah Dozier-Hernandez were chosen to represent the juniors, while the sophomores selected Jabrionne Robinson and Gisele Arteaga and the freshman class singled out Ken'Daylon Wilson and Madison Kwiatkowski to represent their class.
    David Alvarez and Ke'Arrya King, the 2016 HHS Homecoming King and Queen, were on hand to crown the new king and queen and present sashes and a flower bouquet.
    The Bobcats defeated Luling 26-9 for a Homecoming VICTORY!!!
