The Superintendent’s Bobcat Advisory Council is composed of a group of enthusiastic Hempstead High School students. The Bobcat Advisory Council is made up of three students from each grade level. These students are nominated by their high school principal and meet monthly with the Superintendent of Schools to discuss campus initiatives and district happenings.
The purpose of the Superintendent’s Bobcat Advisory Council is to provide feedback and input to the Superintendent and Board of Trustees regarding District and campus initiatives, events, and procedures.
The council is composed of 3 students from each grade level in grades 9-12 at Hempstead High School.
Students will attend a monthly meeting with the Superintendent and staff. Once per semester members of the Board of Trustees will be invited to attend a monthly meeting. Students may have activities or tasks to perform to prepare for meetings.
Members are selected in August and remain on the committee through the last day of school for that school year.
