Punctuality plays a pivotal role in a student's academic journey at Hempstead High School. Our firm tardy policy underscores the importance of timely attendance.
Three tardies result in lunch detention
Five tardies lead to two lunch detentions
Seven or more tardies prompt In-School Suspension (ISS)
Notably, three tardies equate to an absence, and being over 10 minutes tardy is treated similarly. This policy aims to instill responsibility and uphold a culture of respect for education.
