The district makes school bus transportation available to all students living two or more miles from school. This service is provided at no cost to students.

Bus routes and stops will be designated annually, and any subsequent changes will be posted at the school and on the district’s website. For the safety of the operator of the vehicle and all passengers, students must board buses or other vehicles only at authorized stops, and drivers must unload passengers only at authorized stops.

The district has identified the following areas where hazardous traffic conditions and/or areas presenting a high risk of violence exist for students who live within two miles of the campus:

HECC: Located at 524 Austin Street Hempstead, TX 77445. All areas within 2 miles of campus are heavily trafficked areas with no sidewalks. Old Highway 290, Fm1488, 10th Street, RR Crossing west of campus and south of campus within 2 miles.

 HES: Located at 1340 13th Street Hempstead, TX 77445. All areas within 2 miles of campus are heavily trafficked areas with no sidewalks. Major roads of concern are FM 159 and FM 1887 with RR Crossing North of campus.

 HMS: Located on 2539 9th Street Hempstead, TX 77445. All areas within 2 miles of campus do not have sidewalks. High trafficked areas include west of campus Fm 1887. North of campus RR Crossings from 1st street until 9th street. Donoho Street due to school traffic with no sidewalk.

 HHS: Located on 801 Donoho Street Hempstead, TX 77445. All areas within 2 miles of campus do not have sidewalks. High trafficked areas include west of campus Fm 1887. North of campus RR Crossings from 1st street until 9th street. Donoho Street due to school traffic with no sidewalk.
