Hempstead Independent School District is proud to offer a high-quality pre-kindergarten program for all four-year-olds and eligible 3-year-olds. Children must turn three or four years old by September 1 of the current school year. Our program is designed to provide children with a strong foundation for their future academic success, preparing young learners for success in kindergarten and beyond! Our program is free to families who meet eligibility requirements.

Our Pre-K curriculum is designed to help children develop the skills they need to succeed in kindergarten and beyond. We focus on social-emotional development, literacy, math, science, and creative expression.
