The back-to-school countdown has begun! District leaders and staff are preparing to welcome all students back to school on Monday, August 22. To kick off the 2022-2023 school year Hempstead ISD will host the annual Meet the Bobcats event from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17.
Meet the Bobcats is a fun community event to welcome back all Hempstead ISD students and families. The excitement will kick off at 6 p.m. at Hempstead High School. Campus staff will be onsite to distribute student schedules and classroom assignments. Staff and community members will be set up throughout the campus to provide important information and resources available to our students and families. Additionally, there will be information on new programs being offered in the district, and information on ways everyone can get involved and stay connected.
There will be free food and Kona Ice available outside the gym. During the event, you will hear from the Bobcat Band, Hempstead High School Cheer, and meet the 2022-2023 fall student-athletes and coaching staff. Support your school and show off your Bobcat Pride as we kick off a new school year.
