We’ve got some challenges, so let’s talk about them! Join Superintendent Herbert O’Neil for a real conversation about academics and student educational experiences in Hempstead ISD from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14 at the Hempstead ISD Board Room, 1440 13th Street. Childcare will be available for children ages 3 and up.
Superintendent O’Neil will break down the current academic standings of Hempstead ISD, discuss student achievement, school progress, closing achievement gaps, and how we can best support our students moving forward.
“I want to have a serious conversation about creating the best educational environment for our students,” Superintendent O’Neil said. “We have work to do, but our future will be stronger than our past if we work together to prepare our students for success beyond graduation.”
Hempstead ISD remains committed to meeting the needs of all students and ensuring post-secondary readiness for each student. The district is working diligently to close gaps and provide students with the support and resources they need to learn and grow, but we need your help.
All stakeholders are invited to participate in this special edition of You Talk, I Listen. You can RSVP and submit questions about Academics in Hempstead ISD online.
