Bobcat Trailblazer - Dr. Rashdat Danmola

Dr. Rashdat Danmola is the December Bobcat Trailblazer of the Month.

Danmola is a 2006 Hempstead High School graduate and her experiences as a student fueled her to reach for the stars after graduation.

“My time at Hempstead ISD really helped mold me into a well-rounded individual,” Damola said. “The educators that I had were top tier and they really cared about me and my future.”

The pharmacist didn’t know what her future occupation would look like but she knew she wanted to be an R&D chemist. After graduating from Texas A&M University, she found her true calling was in people and a career in pharmacy would allow her to put her chemistry degree to use in the healthcare field.

Danmola currently lives in Katy, Texas, and is working as a pharmacist-in-charge for a small chain pharmacy. She attributes her success after high school to her mother who always emphasized the importance of higher education.

“My mom has made the most impact in my life. She taught me how to be strong, resilient, and graceful.”

Her time spent at Hempstead was full of academics, cross country, and speech and debate. She explained her experiences at Hempstead High School helped to facilitate a smooth transition to college life and beyond.

Danmola hopes to encourage current Hempstead ISD students to know that “there is no limit to the things God can do in your life and that you can be successful beyond your wildest dreams. It is important to set goals for your life and stay the course.”

Several people played a role in helping Danmola become successful and she is thankful for the Hempstead community made up of teachers, coaches, elders, and church leaders who helped her along the way. She hopes to do the same for others from the community and inspire them to go after their dreams.
