During the ceremony, Superintendent Herbert O’Neil celebrated Webster for the positive impact he has had on the lives of his students. He also emphasized the importance of recognizing teachers like Webster, who go above and beyond to ensure their students receive the best education possible.

"Mr. Webster is an exceptional teacher who has dedicated his life to helping his students reach their full potential," O’Neil said. "His passion for education and his commitment to his students is truly inspiring, and we are proud to have him teach in Hempstead ISD."

Webster, who was moved by the award, thanked the Board and Superintendent O’Neil for recognizing his work.

"I am truly honored to receive this award," Webster said. "Teaching is not just a job for me, it's a calling. I believe that every student has the potential to achieve great things, and it's my job to help them realize that potential. This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of my students and colleagues, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such a wonderful school district."

The Superintendent's Higher Heights Award is given monthly to a person who has made a significant impact on the district and its students. Recipients of the award are chosen based on their commitment to academic excellence, student success, and community involvement.

Webster's dedication to his students and his unwavering commitment to their success make him an excellent choice for the award. His colleagues and students agree that he is a remarkable teacher who has made a positive impact on their lives, and they are thrilled that he has been recognized for his outstanding work.

"I can't think of anyone more deserving of this award than Mr. Webster," Ali Woodall, Hempstead ISD Coordinator of Secondary Education, said. "He is an exceptional teacher who goes above and beyond to help his students succeed. He truly embodies the spirit of this award, and we are fortunate to have him as a member of our team."

"We are fortunate to have such dedicated and talented educators in our district," said O’Neil. "The work they do is truly life-changing, and it's important that we take the time to recognize their contributions to our community.”
