On Friday, April 28, Hempstead High School hosted a career fair to help students explore various career opportunities available to them post graduation. The fair was organized by the high school counselors who wanted to ensure that students were aware of the options available to them after graduation. Several local businesses and institutions participated in the fair, providing information about their career opportunities and what it takes to succeed in their fields.
Among the participants were Texas Workforce Solutions, D&J Power Inc., Ebony Essence School of Hair (Bellville), ACE Trucking Academy, Early Bird Plumbing, Perry Homes, Element Dental & Orthodontics, Victorius Healthcare Academy (Waller), 290 Hair Studio, C&C Sports, Beauty University Salon and Lash Lounge, SJ's Coffee and Things, Blinn College, Daikin Technology Park, Tulsa Welding School &Technology Center, Lincoln Tech, and UTI.
The representatives from these businesses were enthusiastic about sharing their experiences and knowledge with the students. They encouraged students to pursue careers in fields that interest them and shared valuable insights into the skills and qualifications that are required to succeed in those fields.
The career fair was a huge success and allowed students the opportunity to learn about the different career paths available to them. The school counselors were pleased with the turnout and hope that the career fair will inspire students to pursue their passions and achieve their career goals.
