Hempstead ISD Director of Bilingual/ESL Services, Maggy Paramore, and Hempstead Elementary School Assistant Principal, Sarah Montes, have been chosen to present at the 53rd annual International Bilingual Education Conference, March 26-30, 2024. The leader's presentation was chosen out of 650 proposal submissions. The duo will be presenting about implementing translanguaging practices, English-Spanish.
The National Association for Bilingual Education (NABE) is a non-profit membership organization that works to advocate for educational equity and excellence for bilingual/multilingual students in a global society. The annual conference brings together over 2,000 bilingual education leaders, educators, researchers, and advocates to learn best practices and share research on bilingual education.
