Hempstead ISD Central Office recently hosted a retirement celebration for the 2024 Spring Hempstead ISD retirees. Retirees in attendance for the celebration were Ernie Braband, District auxiliary maintenance employee, and Wayne Tuckwell, Hempstead High School ISS Teacher and Coach. Both served Hempstead ISD students, staff, and schools for seven years.
During the event, district colleagues and leadership team members offered words of support and encouragement. The retirees received a cake and a rocking chair to thank them for their service in Hempstead ISD.
