Senior Game Night

On Friday, November 8, Hempstead High School Bobcats will take the field for their last home game of the season, and it’s set to be a bittersweet occasion. This evening marks Senior Night, where senior athletes, trainers, and, band members will be honored for their hard work and dedication this season. This game will also be the last time these seniors perform on the school's traditional grass field, making the night memorable for students and fans.

The final game on the grass field coincides with exciting changes ahead for Hempstead High School. In May, voters passed Bond 2024, approving a variety of district improvements, including a new synthetic turf field and track replacement. With construction set to begin soon after football season wraps up, the community is celebrating this year's seniors and the exciting changes to come.

For many of tonight’s seniors, this field has been a place of memories, camaraderie, and growth. Football players will make their final tackles on the field, while the band and dance team will march and perform one last time on the familiar grass.

Bobcat fans are encouraged to pack the stands for one final cheer on the field that has brought the community together season after season. After tonight’s game, construction will soon begin on the new field and track, ushering in a new era for Hempstead’s Bobcat Stadium.

The football game vs. Columbus will begin with senior night at 6:15 p.m. and kickoff is at 7 p.m. Student groups honored tonight include football, cheer, band, cross country, and athletic trainers.
