Hempstead Middle School Band earned a UIL Sweepstakes Award by earning a 1st-division rating by a majority of the judges in both the Concert and Sight-Reading performances. This is the most prestigious award a band can earn at UIL Concert and Sight-Reading and a first for Hempstead Middle School.
