As STAAR testing approaches, Hempstead Middle School is stepping up to the plate with a home run initiative to encourage students. On April 1, 2025, HMS will host Knock It Out the Park, a special event calling on parents, staff, and community members to create personalized letters and posters to uplift students before their big test.
The event will take place at Hempstead Middle School (2532 Ninth St., Hempstead, TX 77445) during two time slots:

⏰ 8:30-10:00 AM OR 4:30-6:00 PM
Participants will have the opportunity to craft encouraging posters and write personalized letters that will be shared with students, reminding them that their school and community believe in them.
This event is a chance for the Hempstead community to come together, rally behind its students, and show them they are more than ready to knock the STAAR exam out of the park!
