Hempstead ISD is excited to announce its annual event, Meet the Bobcats, which is scheduled to take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 16, at the Hempstead High School competition gym. This event has become a cherished tradition within the community, serving as a fun family-friendly gathering that brings students, families, and community members together before school starts. As students prepare to begin a new school year, Meet the Bobcats provides an excellent chance for parents and students to gather essential back-to-school information. School staff will be on hand to answer any questions and offer guidance to ensure a smooth start to the new school year.
There will be a delicious assortment of free food for all in attendance. To beat the summer heat, Kona Ice will be on-site, providing flavorful shaved ice that will keep everyone cool throughout the event.
The District hopes to see a sea of green and white to showcase community spirit and pride for the Bobcats. The Bobcat Athletics fall student-athletes and coaching staff will be introduced during the event. You don’t want to miss the energetic performances by the Hempstead High School band, cheerleaders, step team, and dance team.
