It was a clear and cold Friday evening in Hempstead, Texas, and excitement was in the air as the Hempstead High School baseball team prepared to take on HHS baseball alumni.
The alumni team consisted of former players from 1988-2022. They were determined to show the current players what they were made of, and had dusted off their baseball bats and mitts in preparation for the game.
As the game got underway, it was clear that both teams were evenly matched. The alumni team got off to a strong start but the high school team quickly rallied and tied 7-7 the game in the final inning.
The game was a back-and-forth battle, with both teams making impressive plays on the field and showing off their skills at the plate. After the game, the players from both teams gathered to take a group photo. It was clear that the alumni were proud of the current players and excited to see the future of the program.
The high school team was equally thrilled with their performance, and they thanked the alumni for the opportunity to play against them. The Bobcat baseball team had proven that they had what it takes to compete at the highest level, and they had done so with the support of their community and the alumni who came before them.
