Morgan graduated from Prairie View A&M University with a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a master’s in Educational Administration. She received her superintendent certification in 2021 from Lamar University.

In her 17 years in education, she has been a school improvement officer, a Reading/Language Arts teacher, Reading/Langauge Arts department chair, and has coached volleyball, basketball, track, and soccer. Before joining Hempstead High School as the assistant principal, she served as the Brenham High School assistant principal for six years.

Superintendent O’Neil expressed his confidence in Morgan, explaining “Ms. Morgan has consistently shown her dedication to our students, staff, and community during her tenure as interim principal. Her ability to inspire and motivate others, coupled with her deep understanding of educational best practices, make her the perfect fit for this important role. I have no doubt that she will continue to elevate Hempstead High School to new heights."

Morgan is excited about the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of students and contribute to the overall success of Hempstead High School. She intends to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and community members to create an environment that nurtures academic achievement, personal growth, and social development.

"I am deeply honored and humbled by the trust placed in me as the principal of Hempstead High School," Morgan said. "I am committed to fostering a culture of excellence, promoting inclusivity, and ensuring that every student has the resources and support they need to succeed. Together, we will continue to provide a high-quality education that prepares our students for a successful future."

Morgan is looking forward to the 2023-2024 school year and welcomes the support of both new and returning Hempstead High School students and their families.
