Every biennial, the University Interscholastic League (UIL) reclassifies and realigns schools across the State of Texas for athletic competition for the following two years.
The UIL revealed the new district alignments for football, volleyball, and basketball for the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school years on Thursday, February 2.
Hempstead ISD has Class 3A programs - Football, Basketball, and Volleyball
The Bobcats football team will play in District 12-3A-D1 with Columbus, Hallettsville, Hitchcock, and Yoakum.
The Bobcat basketball and volleyball teams will play in District 24-3A. In this district, they will face Boling, East Bernard, Harmony, Hitchcock, Van Vleck, and Wallis Brazos.
