Hempstead High School CTE students are being recognized for completing Industry-Based certifications during the 2022-2023 school year.

CTE teachers Timothy Ryan and Shelby Spiess helped the students prepare for the computer-based exams taken with the iCEV software. This innovative approach allows students to take their industry-based certification exams at school under the supervision of a trained proctor, thereby making the certification process more accessible and affordable.

A total of 86 certifications were awarded to Hempstead High School students, highlighting the diverse range of certification programs available. The breakdown of certifications includes 32 students receiving the BASF Plant Science Certification, 36 students achieving the Benz School Principles of Floral Design, four students excelling in the National Horse Judging Team Coaches Association Equine Management, seven students mastering the Elanco Fundamentals of Animal Science, and three students earning the Elanco Vet Med Applications certification.

The wall plaque, now on display at Hempstead High School, will serve as motivation for all students to complete an industry-based certification to be best prepared for success in their chosen career path.
