Welcome to Hempstead ISD's 2023 Summer School Program!
Summer BRIDGE is an accelerated instruction program designed to prepare students for success at the beginning of the next school year while simultaneously satisfying the requirements of HB 4545 for students in STAAR-tested grade levels. The Summer BRIDGE program is offered districtwide and includes other components such as Bilingual BRIDGE, High School Credit Recovery, and EOC Bootcamp. Transportation will be provided.
Summer School will be for students who meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Pre-K/Kindergarten EB students
- Promotion/Retention (Grades 1-8) and Skills-Based Deficits (Pre-K and Kindergarten)
- Skills-Based Deficits Grades 1-8 (Reading, Math)
- High School End-of-Course Retesters (EOC)
- High School Credit Recovery - Students recovering additional credits to graduate
Parents of those identified students will be invited to enroll their students in the Summer School program.
This year's program will run from Monday, June 5 through Thursday, June 29.
