Hempstead ISD celebrated the 2023 Campus Teachers of the Year at the May 15 school board meeting. This spring, each campus selected one teacher who has demonstrated a commitment to excellence in education. These teachers were then surprised on their campuses by their leadership teams, school staff, and students.
During the board meeting, HR Director, MaBisha Stubblefield, announced Tabitha Collins as the 2023 District Elementary Teacher of the Year and, Christine Herbert, as the 2023 District Secondary Teacher of the Year. Collins and Herbert will represent Hempstead ISD in the Region 4 Teacher of the Year program.
