The Hempstead ISD Board of Trustees met on Monday, October 21.
Before the start of the October 21 Board meeting, Hempstead Elementary School 5th-grade students led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance and the Pledge to the Texas Flag. During the board meeting, the October Students, Campus Teachers, and Support Staff of the Month were celebrated.

Superintendent’s Higher Heights Award
The October Superintendent’s Higher Heights Award Recipient is Hempstead ISD, Director of Special Education, Dr. Kimberly Harvey.
October is National Principals Month. The district has been celebrating campus principals all month long. At the Board Meeting, Hempstead ISD Assistant Superintendent of Learning and Leading, Brittany Anderson, recognized each principal for their outstanding work and dedication to students and staff.
