Hempstead High School competition gym. There will be Free food and Kona Ice to beat the summer heat! We hope to see a sea of green and white to showcase community spirit and pride for the Bobcats. The fall student-athletes and coaching staff will also be introduced during the event.
Transportation will be using a new feature on our transportation app, Stopfinder, for the upcoming school year. Stopfinder is the easy-to-use, all-in-one app that allows you to have the most accurate information about your student’s bus schedule at anytime from anywhere.
What the App Can Do?
✅View your student’s daily transportation assignments
✅ Live View of Bus Location
✅ Securely share your student’s schedule with other family members or babysitters
✅ Receive notifications and updates related to transportation
✅ Send messages to the Transportation Department through the app
✅ If you have multiple students in the district, you will see them all within the app together and see their specific assignments, even if they are at different schools.
Parents/Guardians will need to ensure that they have requested bus transportation for their students for the 2024-2025 school year and that their email and phone numbers are on file in ParentPortal. The email address currently on file with the district will be used for Stopfinder setup. Please update your contact information in ParentPortal, so the district has the most updated information on file. Look out for a Stopfinder invitation, which will be sent to your primary email address between August 19 and August 23.
If you have questions about Stopfinder please contact the Transportation Department at 979-826-3304 EXT 102. The app can be downloaded on Apple or Android devices.

Have you connected to Rooms? Our Hempstead ISD app now allows you to see teacher announcements & messages! SMS & email invites have your student(s) links to get connected. Check out our website for help.
Due to the extreme weather that came through our area, and to ensure the safety and security of our students and staff Hempstead ISD will be closed tomorrow, May 17, 2024. Buildings and schools will reopen on Monday, May 20. Please stay safe Bobcats!
Our Hempstead ISD app is getting an upgrade! It will soon offer class announcements and parent-teacher chat. Parents & guardians, look for invites via email & text on May 17. Use the login you create for Rooms - in the bottom right of the app to see your student’s classes automatically.
Hempstead ISD is accepting responses to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Architectural and Planning Consulting Services. This RFQ is in relation to the district's intent to pursue strategic facilities planning. REMINDER! Early voting is currently underway. Election Day is a few days away, but you can avoid the lines by voting early now through April 30: Learn more: www.co.waller.tx.us/page/Elections.current #BobcatsVote
The bond proposal includes an auxiliary gym for Hempstead Middle School. The campus has one gym, shared during the school day with physical education students, pre-athletics, and athletics class periods. This causes both girls and boys to share the gym during school, practices, and on game days. The addition of the auxiliary gym would help alleviate scheduling and class use issues by providing more space for physical education classes, athletic class periods, and athletic games ensuring a smoother and more efficient operation of school programs. Early Voting is April 22-30 and Election Day is May 4. Voting locations can be found under Voting at hempsteadisd.org/bond2024. #BobcatsVote
The proposed bond includes a new concession stand and restroom at the baseball fields. The new concession stand and restrooms would bring both buildings up to modern standards.
Early Voting is April 22-30 and Election Day is April 4. Voting locations can be found under Voting at hempsteadisd.org/bond2024. #BobcatsVote
Safety & Security! The proposed bond includes:
📌Enclosed security connectors (corridors): to The Bobcat Den (Cafeteria/Band Hall) to Hempstead Middle School and between all four buildings at Hempstead Elementary School
📌New Cafeteria and Band Hall at Hempstead High School
Things to Note:
- The current Bobcat Den, built in 1997, sits between the middle school and high school campuses.
- It serves as a cafeteria and band hall for both Hempstead Middle School and Hempstead High School students.
- HMS students have to eat lunch at 10:20 a.m. to accommodate both campuses for lunch. The last lunch at HHS ends at 1:35 p.m.
- The addition of the cafeteria at the High School would allow a regular lunch schedule for all secondary students at the middle and high school.
📌Connecting The Bobcat Den to HMS, building a cafeteria and band hall at the high school, and enclosing all four buildings at the elementary school would help enhance student safety and limit exposure to inclement weather conditions.
Early Voting is April 22-30 and Election Day is May 4. Voting locations can be found under Voting at hempsteadisd.org/bond2024. #BobcatsVote
