Voter approval of the 2024 bond would result in a .1378-cent increase to the district tax rate. The estimated impact would be $15.57 per month for a home valued at $235,557, the average home valuation in Hempstead ISD. Our #HempsteadReads partner, Melissa Hegemeyer, Realtor, is hosting a Once Upon a Valentine Story Time from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, at Hegemeyer Realty & Associates, 820 13th St. There will be book readings, Valentine's photos, snacks, and crafts! Children can come dressed as a prince or princess.
We encourage you to bring a book donation for (ages 3-5) for the book drive. This initiative supports the district's early literacy initiative through Hempstead Reads. Book donations will be donated to Hempstead Early Childhood Center.

The Hempstead ES Garden Club is back in action. They have planted broccoli, cabbage, herbs, and marigolds as companion plants. The Waller County Master Gardeners taught the students about the various plant needs. We love our community partners.🌱
